Sale to Polluto Magazine

Petrol Queen
It pleases me to announce that I've sold my short story "Professor Dingleberry and the Peripatetic Coxcomb Abode " to Polluto Magazine. This will be my third appearance in this unique and often outrageous little Brit printzine.

This is another one of those stories of mine that they said "couldn't be sold." As you might guess from the title, it has a scatological theme. Ha!

ETA: Special thanks to first readers Oz Drummond, Berry Henderson, Eugie Foster, Calie Voorhis, Kurt Kirchmeier and Jaime Lee Moyer!

Woooooo Marshall!

They should never say never when it comes to selling one of your stories. Keep proving them wrong, darling. *g*

Oh, man. I'd buy that story on the title alone!

Congrats!

Yeah, its subject matter is as the title implies. ;-)

Thanks, Barry!

Oh my! It's a fun story and they seem to like your quirky ones. I'm proud to have been a first reader.

Yes, they seem to. We all have those markets we never seem to be able to crack, but there's also those where we seem to do no wrong. Three subs to Polluto and three sales. Kinda makes up for the other places I've been getting beat up.

Thanks, Oz! I'm always proud to have ya. *g*

Congrats! I again have to say that, IMO, the only "unsellable" stories are those in which the writing itself is deficient. So double congrats for confounding the naysayers.

Thanks, Gustavo!

Well, I happened to be one of the naysayers. Mostly just a few friends saying, "Cool story, but how're ya gonna sell it?" To Polluto, where else! But let's face it, a story with magical dingleberries is hard to find a home for. ;-)

Thanks, Berry! Yes, I went and read your thoughtful comments last evening. I also went and read the story itself. After a couple of years it was like, Gee, I actually wrote that thing. *g*
